Eccentric, crankshaft, and camshaft parts often require high precision grinding, and we offer technical support for out-of-round grinding such as crankshaft grinding, camshaft grinding, and vacuum heat treating or nitriding surfaces on forged or round steel to achieve the best possible wear resistance and strength for these components.

Crankshaft

The crankshaft is the most important part of the engine. It carries the forces from the connecting rods and converts them into torque that is output through the crankshaft and drives other accessories on the engine. The crankshaft is subjected to centrifugal force of rotating mass, cyclic gas inertia force and reciprocating inertia force, which makes the crankshaft subjected to bending and torsion loads. Therefore, the crankshaft is required to have sufficient strength and stiffness, and the journal surfaces need to be wear-resistant, uniform and well-balanced.

Knowledge:

  • SPP Industry manufactures crankshafts for diesel and petrol engines and other electric motors, and our grinding machine park is capable of manufacturing crankshafts up to 4.5 metres long. In addition to manufacturing crankshafts to customer drawings, we can also supply standard crankshafts such as Cummins, Steyr, Isuzu, and various automotive engine crankshafts.
  • We usually forge large crankshafts or blanks for automotive crankshafts in-house, which means that we can always ensure the quality and continuously optimise it. So the moulds are designed and manufactured in-house and, depending on the length, the blanks are shaped in a stamping facility with a 4,000-ton press.

Eccentric shafts

Eccentric shafts are generally used in compressors, small aircraft engines, rotor engines, motor manufacturing, racing cars, etc. Sampsistemi Industries manufactures special shaped eccentric shafts according to customers' drawings, as well as according to standards such as BITZER, Copeland, Carrier, Bock, Torino, etc. We are also a manufacturer of structural parts for rotor engines and have experience in OEM parts in this field.
