Key service technologies in semiconductor systems

Semiconductor manufacturing equipment requires high rigidity, machining accuracy, vibration resistance, heat resistance, thermal conductivity, surface finish accuracy, metal contamination resistance, chemical resistance, gas resistance, plasma resistance, insulation, dielectric constant, positive dielectric properties, and various other characteristics such as resistance, volume resistivity, low particle generation, and cost. SPP proposes high-purity alumina (Al2O3 99.7% or more, Al2O3 99.9% or more), aluminium nitride (ALN), and yttrium oxide (Y203) as ceramics that can satisfy these characteristics. Because of its characteristics, high-purity alumina is used in transmission arms, wafer stages, RF high-frequency transmission windows, and so on. It also exhibits excellent metallisation properties. Aluminium nitride has excellent thermal conductivity, heat dissipation, thermal shock resistance and electrical insulation, and also has a coefficient of thermal expansion close to that of silicon wafers. Yttrium oxide is a material with excellent plasma resistance.
